1. Eligibility and registration
Anyone aged 13 or older may apply for an individual Lone Crow Hosting account. Applying does not guarantee approval.
Registration requires accurate account information, a working email address, email verification, acceptance of these terms, and administrator approval.
Request access only to services you intend to use. Each service is approved separately. Approval for Jellyfin does not automatically grant access to music, books, or other services.
Keep your email address current and accessible. It is used for verification, account recovery, and important account notices.
2. Individual accounts — no account sharing
Your account is for your personal use only. Do not let another person use your account, even if they live in your household. Each person must apply for their own account and receive approval.
Account sharing includes sharing passwords, verification or recovery codes, passkeys, access tokens, signed-in sessions, or approving another person’s device through Quick Connect. You may use your own account on multiple personal devices.
Suspected sharing may result in a security review or temporary suspension. Confirmed account sharing may result in restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination of your account and linked service access.
Travel, a new IP address, or multiple personal devices alone does not establish account sharing.
3. Account security
Use a unique password that meets the requirements shown during registration or password setup. Complete two-factor authentication when required.
Approve only sign-ins and devices you recognize. Keep recovery codes private and sign out of devices you no longer control.
Report unexpected sign-ins, lost devices, or suspected account compromise promptly. Administrators may revoke sessions or temporarily suspend access while investigating.
Administrators will never need you to send them your password, verification codes, or recovery codes.
4. Age requirements and content restrictions
Provide your accurate date of birth. Do not enter a false birth date, use another person’s account, or help someone bypass age restrictions.
Your date of birth is used to calculate your age and apply service restrictions. It is private account information, is not displayed publicly, and is not copied to media-service profiles.
Jellyfin access follows these limits:
| Age | Movies | Television |
|---|---|---|
| Under 13 | Registration unavailable | Registration unavailable |
| 13 | Through PG-13 | Through TV-PG |
| 14–16 | Through PG-13 | Through TV-14 |
| 17 | Through R | Through TV-14 |
| 18 and older | No automatic age restriction | No automatic age restriction |
Unrated content and content with unrecognized ratings are blocked for users under 18. Ratings depend on library metadata and may occasionally be inaccurate. Report incorrectly classified content to an administrator. Content ratings and filtering do not guarantee that every available title is suitable for every viewer.
Age-based limits update automatically as you reach each threshold. Updates are processed daily using Eastern time. A birthday does not automatically grant access to a service you have not been approved to use. Separate administrator restrictions remain in effect.
Audiobookshelf access for users under 18 requires explicit administrator review. Approval may be limited to selected libraries or content. Until appropriate restrictions are available, access remains pending.
Contact an administrator to correct a birth-date mistake. Changes that would increase access require review.
5. Acceptable use
Use only the services, accounts, libraries, and features approved for you.
Do not:
- Bypass authentication, administrator approval, age restrictions, or another user’s privacy settings.
- Attempt to access another person’s account or private information.
- Scan, attack, overload, scrape, or probe the infrastructure without explicit administrator permission.
- Distribute credentials, access tokens, private subscription links, or other information that grants access.
- Harass users, impersonate another person, publish private information without permission, or submit threatening or malicious content.
- Use the services for unlawful activity.
Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to an administrator. Do not exploit them or access additional information to demonstrate their impact without permission.
6. Media use and requests
Use media only as permitted by applicable law and the permissions associated with that content. Library access does not grant ownership or permission to redistribute it.
Submit accurate requests and check for existing requests first. Do not repeatedly submit the same request to pressure administrators into approving it.
Requests may be approved, declined, or deferred because of availability, storage, technical limitations, suitability, or administrator discretion. Approval does not guarantee that a title will become available or establish a delivery deadline.
Do not alter or delete shared library files unless that permission has been explicitly granted to you.
7. Error reports and support
Use the reporting tools for services you are authorized to access.
For media problems, include the title, affected episode or chapter, device or application, and a clear description. Where relevant, include the playback timestamp and whether the problem concerns video, audio, subtitles, or metadata.
Do not include passwords, verification codes, recovery codes, access tokens, or unrelated personal information.
Reports may be forwarded to connected management tools, including Seerr, and viewed by administrators responsible for resolving them. Submitting a report does not guarantee a response or resolution deadline.
8. Shared capacity and availability
Lone Crow Hosting uses shared computing, storage, and network capacity. Administrators may limit activity that substantially affects service availability or other users.
Services, features, and individual titles may become unavailable during maintenance, outages, storage changes, or library updates.
Do not rely on Lone Crow Hosting as the only copy of important files or information. Availability and preservation of account history, playlists, progress, requests, and other preferences are not guaranteed.
9. Profiles, privacy, and operational records
Your display name and profile picture may be synchronized to services linked to your account. A profile-picture change made in a linked service may also propagate to your other linked services.
Administrators can access account information, permissions, requests, reports, and operational records needed to manage the system. Depending on the service, these records may include IP addresses, device information, sign-in activity, and playback activity. Use of the services should not be treated as anonymous.
Connected services and delivery providers receive information needed to perform their functions, such as delivering an email, synchronizing a profile, or processing a media request.
Do not place sensitive personal information in profile fields, reports, or public content. Information marked public may be visible to other users and included in subscription feeds.
Account information, operational records, and backups may have different retention periods. Specific retention periods will be described in a separate privacy and retention notice when established.
10. Notifications and subscriptions
Verification, recovery, security, and essential account notices support the operation of your account.
Optional announcements, request updates, push notifications, emails, calendar subscriptions, and summaries are controlled through the preferences available for each feature. Accepting these terms does not automatically subscribe you to every optional notification channel.
Keep private subscription links private. A person with such a link may be able to read the information it provides.
Delivery depends on connected providers and your device settings. Notifications may be delayed or fail to arrive.
11. Community events
Where event publishing is available, publish only information you have permission to share.
Choose event visibility carefully. Public events may be viewed by other users and included in calendars, feeds, and notification summaries. Subscribers may retain information they previously received even after an event is changed or removed.
Do not publish someone else’s private address, contact details, attendance, or plans without permission.
Administrators may remove misleading, inappropriate, abusive, or otherwise unsuitable events.
12. Administrator and backend access
An administrator account does not automatically grant unrestricted access to servers, storage, or every backend tool. Backend permissions are assigned separately.
Use backend access only for authorized management. Do not share administrator sessions, terminal access, remote desktops, or storage credentials.
Access to shared files does not authorize unrelated changes to servers, permissions, backups, or other users’ data.
Administrative privileges may be restricted or revoked independently of ordinary service access.
13. Restrictions, suspension, and termination
Administrators may deny requests, revoke individual services, restrict features, suspend an account, or permanently terminate an account for violations of these rules, misuse, or security concerns.
Serious security incidents may require immediate action without advance notice. Account sharing may result in penalties up to and including permanent termination.
Permanent removal may delete your Lone Crow login and linked service accounts, including account-specific history, preferences, playlists, progress, and other data. Removing an account does not automatically remove shared library media.
You may ask an administrator to close your account. Account closure does not necessarily remove information already present in backups, operational records, security records, or subscription copies.
Contact an administrator if you believe a decision was mistaken. A review does not guarantee that access will be restored.
14. Acceptance and changes
New applicants must accept the current terms before submitting registration. Existing users must accept the current version when prompted.
Acceptance is recorded against your account with the terms version and acceptance date. You will not be repeatedly asked to accept the same version.
The current terms will remain available from the website. Changes will identify a new version. Users must accept each new version before continuing through the account acceptance process.
Optional notification preferences remain separate from acceptance of these terms.
If you do not agree, do not submit registration or accept the terms. Existing users may contact an administrator about closing their account.
